I've been designing for Radio 1 since 2019 as part of my role at SE Creative Studio. Over that time I've designed sets for interviews, brand campaigns and animated templates. My work has been featured in the V&A Dundee as part of an exhibition celebrating Radio 1's Big Weekend. Here are some highlights:
Radio 1 Big Weekend Set Design
Radio 1's Big Weekend is an annual music festival organised by BBC Radio 1, featuring popular and emerging artists across various genres. Held in different UK locations each year, Radio 1’s Big Weekend is known for its vibrant atmosphere and impressive lineups, it is a highlight of the UK's music festival calendar.
For this project, I was tasked to create a set for Radio 1 to interview artists and celebrities attending R1BW. I built 3D sets to sell in the designs to the client and then delivered PDFs to the printers.

Radio 1 Halloween Illustrations
Using Adobe Fresco and Photoshop, I illustrated ghoulish details over the top of iconic album covers - Dua Lipa's 'Future Nostalgia' and Billie's Eilish's 'Happier Than Ever'. This was for Radio 1's Halloween content and it created a stir with the artists' fanbases in the post's comments.

Essential Graphics for Radio 1
I am often tasked to create templates and essential graphics for Radio 1. In this project we refreshed Radio 1's Weekly Playlist asset - which announces new artist getting airtime on the radio. In the past this has just been a quick static image, so we wanted to enhance the content by creating a windows 95 inspired, repeatable format, that was easy for BBC producers to use in Premiere Pro. In the video above, you can see how the template is filled and below there is an example of the final output.
